African Journals Online (AJOL)

AJOL is the world's largest online collection of African-published, peer-reviewed scholarly journals. It provides free online hosting for over 500 peer-reviewed journals from 31 African countries, using open source software. AJOL's partner journals cover the full range of academic disciplines with particularly strong sections on health, agriculture and African studies.
   

American Institute of Physics journals

AIP publishes 17 journals, three of which are published in partnership with other organizations; magazines, including AIP’s flagship publication Physics Today; and the AIP Conference Proceedings series.  Scitation hosts over 2 million articles from more than 200 scholarly publications from 28 learned society publishers. The AIP Thesaurus contains 7,500 terms, and AIP’s disambiguation project mapped multiple name variations for more than 850,000 authors and 23,000 institutions.

Booksee This is a portal that claims to have over 2,400,000 downloadable e-books (PDFs).  It has a keyword search engine plus a broad subject category listing.  Search listings are limited to 100 titles so precise keyword searches should be used.  Each title entry notes the language of the e-book and MB size.  Due to the size of the full-text books, downloading can be time-consuming especially if there is limited bandwidth.

EBSCO Religion and Theology Collection This database is an essential resource for religious and theological studies, providing bibliographic records covering topics such as biblical studies, world religions, church history and religion in social issues. Updated monthly, ATLA Religion Database (ATLA RDB) contains over 1.8 million indexed records covering the research literature of religion in over 60 languages. Most coverage spans from 1908 to the present, while an ambitious retrospective indexing project provides citations of select titles back to their original publication date.
