He has vast experience in library management as a library assistant. John Ndege also has wide skills and experience in support teaching, learning, and research, acquisition, organization, and dissemination of information resources. He is actively involved in the provision of appropriate information services for current and future needs of the staff, faculty, students, and the immediate community served by the library.

He is a member of Network of information professionals-NIPK.
