The University of Embu Library has today, 2 September 2026, commenced its Library Orientation Programme for september intake.

The orientation programme is aimed at welcoming new students and equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively access and use Library services, facilities, print resources, electronic resources, and subscribed databases throughout their university studies.

The first group of students to participate in the orientation includes students pursuing programmes in:

  • Bachelor of Education (Arts)
  • Bachelor of Education (Science)
  • Social Sciences

During the orientation sessions, students are introduced to the Library’s facilities and services, the Library catalogue, electronic books and journals, subscribed databases, MyLOFT, and other digital resources available to support teaching, learning, assignments, and research.

Students are also guided on how to locate and access reliable academic information, use information resources responsibly, and seek assistance from Library staff whenever they need support.
