Dr. James Njue Mutegi
University Librarian
Dr. James Njue Mutegi holds a PhD in Information and Knowledge Management from the Technical University of Kenya. He is the University Librarian at the University of Embu, where he has overseen the library’s growth and transformation from a college library, to the establishment of the modern Prof. George Magoha Library.
He spearheaded the automation of library services at the University of Embu from its inception, enhancing access, efficiency, and user experience. His research interests focus on power dynamics in access to information resources in libraries, reflecting his commitment to promoting equitable and inclusive access to knowledge.
Ms.Victoria Nyaga
Librarian I
Victoria is a Librarian I at the University of Embu and has over fifteen years’ progressive experience as an information professional. Victoria holds a Master’s degree in Information and Library Management from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle (UK). Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Information and Knowledge Management at the Technical University of Kenya.
She has a strong interest in user behavior, user satisfaction, and service quality in libraries. She is passionate about enhancing user-centered services in information environments and focuses on understanding how libraries can meet the evolving needs of their users through effective service delivery.
Her main duties include deputizing the university librarian, preparing library budgets, coordinating selection, acquisition, and processing of information materials, planning and participating in information literacy, and coordinating user services, among other duties.

Short Biography
Mr. Ndege is information professional with expertise in library systems, digital repositories, and electronic resources. He manages library technologies to ensure seamless access to digital learning materials. His research interests include blended learning, digital literacy, and open education learning.

Mr. Cyrus Muriuki
Senior Library Assistant
Mr. Cyrus Muriuki Mureithi is a qualified and committed librarian with a Bachelors Degree and a Diploma in Library and Information Science. He has had a strong foundation in information organization, cataloguing, digital librarianship, and knowledge management that has enabled him to develop a strong understanding of how to manage, preserve, and disseminate information resources effectively. He has worked both in academic and public libraries, where he has implemented modern information retrieval systems and supported users in getting access to relevant, reliable, and updated resources.
He strongly believes in information literacy and building a reading culture in students and society as a whole and He strives for lifelong learning, continuous professional development, and the integration of technology for improved services and access to libraries.
Mr. Brian Muchoki
Senior Library Assistant
Brian Muchoki serves as Senior Library Assistant and Head of Circulation Services at the University of Embu. He holds a Bachelor of Library and Information Science from Kenyatta University, along with certifications in statistical analysis (Dalworth Statistical and Research Centre), digital skills (Google), and data protection (Strathmore University). With extensive experience in academic libraries, school consultancy, and information management, Brian is dedicated to providing user-centered library services that enhance learning and research. He oversees circulation operations, supports information literacy programs, and works to transform the library into a vibrant, collaborative space that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning across the university community.
Mr. Emmanuel Mulela

Mr. Emmanuel has expertise in providing reference services, collection development, and collection management. He is well versed in integrated library management system processes.
Specialties: Collection development, Information resources databases, Information literacy, Institutional repositories, Customer service.
Ms. Sicily Muthoni
Library Assistant I
Ms. Sicily Muthoni Kithumbu is a dedicated and resourceful Library Assistant I. She has strong background in library operations, user support, and information resource management, Sicily holds Bachelor Degree of Science and Information Science (Library Science Option) from Mount Kenya University and Diploma in Archives and records management .
Her key responsibilities being: Circulation and front desk services, cataloguing and classification support. Shelving and organization of library materials, User assistance and information services Assist in Library orientation, Compliance and Policy Support e.g Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in handling user information.
Ms. Sarah Kendi
Library Assistant
Sarah Kendi Kabiru is a Library Assistant at the University of Embu Library. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Science from Mt. Kenya University and Diploma in Records Management in information Science.
Key responsibilities include cataloguing, classifying, circulation services, and information literacy support. She is currently stationed at the Circulation Desk, where she ensure efficient user services and smooth library operations

Library Assistant
Yvonnne Mukami Kawira is a Library Assistant at the University of Embu Library. She holds a Diploma in Library and Information Science from University of Embu and is currently pursuing a Degree in Information Science.
Her key responsibilities include cataloguing, classifying, circulation services, and information literacy support. She is currently stationed at the Circulation Desk, where she plays a vital role in ensuring efficient user services and smooth library operations

Office Assistant
Dorothy Nabwire Wambani is an Office Assistant at the University of Embu Library. She holds a Certificate in Food and Beverage Production and Service and currently pursuing a Certificate in Office Assistance(Level 5).
Her key responsibilities include Tea preparation, Photocopying, Printing, Scanning and mail dispatch. She is currently stationed at the Reprographics Desk where she plays a vital role in ensuring efficient user services and smooth running of reprographic operations.
Ms. Immaculate
Library Assistant
Ms.Immaculate is a senior Library Assistant at university of Embu she holds a Bachelor of Library and Information Science from university the of Embu and Currently pursuing Masters degree at the University of Embu.Her key responsibilities include preparing and submitting monthly reports to CRCRC,managing and filing of office records, marketing of library services,information literacy,MyLOFT and laptop registration.She is currently stationed at the help desk where she plays a vital role in ensuring efficient user services and smooth library operations.
